addictive
I throw all of your stuff away. I’m gonna clear you out of my head. I tear you out of my heart.
And ignore all your messages. I tell everyone we are through. 'Cause I'm so much better without you.
But it’s just another pretty lie. 'Cause I break down.
Every time you come around. So how did you get here under my skin? I swore that I'd never let you back in.
Should have known better in trying to let you go. 'Cause here we go go go again.
Hard as I try I know I can't quit. Something about you is so addictive.
We're falling together. you'd think that by now I'd know. cause here we go go go again.

Bye, 2010

It's 2011!

Have you made your resolutions already? I don't really make resolutions because I don't keep to them. I have a vague idea what I want to achieve but somehow, I just get too lazy to fulfill them, resolutions like losing weight, keeping track of my spending & saving more per month, being a nicer person etc.

This year's countdown was more sedate than last year's. I think I mentioned I had a peeling moon-face to accompany me through the countdown this year. So being really considerate, the grp of besties decided to forgo picnic in the sun & came to my house for an indoor picnic instead!

Which really, turns out to be the best decision since it rained soon after we started the indoor picnic. Did our usual stuff, chit-chatting, catching up on gossips then played Monopoly, the board game, while watching movies on HBO. The board game was a refreshing change from Monopoly Deal which we always play nowadays. It was quite exciting actually, cos we put the money we paid for tax at the Free Parking square so whoever ended up on that square would get the money. At one point, we realised that the money got up to $500++ so we were really psyched & motivated to end up at Free Parking. After 2 or 3 rounds of bypassing Free Parking & chanting the number I had to get in order to get to the Free Parking square, I finally rolled a nine on the 2 dices & collected the money! Woohoo, we were all screaming when I realised that I was the lucky one who ended up on the square.

But I wasn't the winner. Amira was damn pro, she kept reaching her own property & buying house after house. In the end, she had like 2 property with 3 houses each? Once you stepped on A, it was bye bye $750. Another was slightly better but still very expensive, $450 for stepping on her property. Oh man!

Ended our picnic in the evening cos the 2 attached ones were counting down to 2011 with their other halves. Was contemplating whether I should meet the humdingers besties for dinner buffet at Akira Japanese Restaurant because I really wanted to go but my face was round & peeling which made concealing highly challenging. Tried putting on my BB cream to conceal the peeling & reddish skin but ended up looking very white.

But since we managed to get a room to ourselves for the dinner buffet & PX lent her Armani Exchange (AX okays, don't play play! :D) I decided to brave the crowd & the stares I might probably get from the people on the MRT & headed towards the restaurant, hoping nobody could recognize me with the sunglasses on.

It was the right choice afterall because the food was great & the company, even better. Went home before 12 because we didn't want to get caught in the post-countdown crowd. Reached home in time to catch the countdown on TV & saw quite pretty fireworks on the TV & in SK too.

So, all in all, a rather good countdown too. & now, it's 2011 & whatever happened in the past will stay in the past, especially embarrassing & cringe-worthy encounters!
