I love running a blogshop, mainly because I love shopping & buying new clothes. I know, not the usual "I get such a huge satisfaction when I see people liking & buying the clothes I bring in" reason.
I like interacting with the customers too but some of them are really too overbearing. I know the idea is that customers are always right & that they are very important to business but seriously, does that mean we have to be at their beak & call?
Hello, you (the random overbearing, over-demanding customer) need to understand that we have a life beyond the blogshop. Most of us are just students or working professionals who's also a blogshop owner. Which means it's highly unlikely we can be at the computer 24/7 to answer your questions & email, especially when it's been sometime since our last collection launched.
I know you like to receive your goods fast, I'm an online shopper too, I understand and I get it. But you need to give us some time too, not make us feel like we're slackers, lousy blogshop owners just because we cannot like mail out your item 5 minutes after we receive your email. Especially when you opt for registered mail. I'm all for opting for registered mail but please understand that my house isn't the post office neither is it a mere stone throw away from the post office. I need to take a bus down to the post office, then walk a few minutes. Not to mention the post office operating hours are pretty stingy.
When we launched a collection, we do mailing of parcels quite fast & efficiently, because we know that the week during which we launch a collection is typically when most of the items get sold. However, seeing as it's weeks after the launch of the last collection, yours is the odd parcel we have to mail out now & then.
Not that we mind, we're happy selling to you & we hope you'll love the clothes too. But, seeing as we're nice enough to keep the item pending for you for weeks despite nv even hearing anything from you for a certain period of time, & only after we send you a gentle reminder about the item did you deign it time to email us back but only after 3 days, it's kind of irritating that you can take all the time you want to reply us but you expect us to send your item out immediately. If it's normal postage, I'm happy to do so, because the PO boxes are everywhere, but registered mail takes time. I hope you understand we are not deliberately delaying sending out your parcels because we're lazy but because we do have other things going on too.
But yes, we know you are important, which is why we would make time & why I wouldn't have especially made a trip down to the post office for anyone else, except the customers.
Okays, rant over. This post might have be overly-exaggerated at some parts cos I was feeling somewhat irritated when I typed this so yeah. Don't need to take this too seriously. & I promise you, I'm still a nice person overall, who loves mailing out parcels :D
