addictive
I throw all of your stuff away. I’m gonna clear you out of my head. I tear you out of my heart.
And ignore all your messages. I tell everyone we are through. 'Cause I'm so much better without you.
But it’s just another pretty lie. 'Cause I break down.
Every time you come around. So how did you get here under my skin? I swore that I'd never let you back in.
Should have known better in trying to let you go. 'Cause here we go go go again.
Hard as I try I know I can't quit. Something about you is so addictive.
We're falling together. you'd think that by now I'd know. cause here we go go go again.

Random memory ftw

Random memory No. 1
Mom asked: "Have you all been playing with the toothpaste?"
I looked at her incredulously and answered: "Huh Mom, we're like how old already?!"
My brother who's the youngest in the family is 19 years old this year? Like seriously, does she thinks we'll still do something so childish like flick toothpaste around the sink? No, wait, don't answer that.

Random memory No. 2
My student was chatting to me as he was cleaning up his work area. I asked him: "So what are you going to do this weekend?"
He looked at me, grinned cheekily and told me: "I'm going disco!"
DISCO?! Who uses this word now? Somemore a Primary 2?
Then he started wriggling around, doing this Saturday Night Fever pose thing. He did this in the middle of the learning centre can! Oh Ryan, you're such a laugh. Too bad he's no longer taking lessons at the centre. One less amusing student.

Random memory No. 3
Was playing Tap Tap Revenge with Aunty Leong one day and I insisted on a restart cos I missed a Tap trail. While in the midst of starting the game again, she went like, "为什么你 re 一个start 那么久?"

Re 一个start?! What is that man?!

Random memory No. 4
Okays, this just happened recently, & I doubt I will forget it easily in years to come. Some things are meant to be classics, like chicken wings dropped in coke :D

Went to support my cousin at this Super Mom competition somewhere in Tai Seng, with another cousin Yi Ling. & I can't believe it but we got lost for like umpteen times.

First, we were late. (Yeah, I know, no surprises there) So when we came out of the MRT station, my dear cousin led me to the taxi stand and wondered why there wasn't any bus guide there. Then we realised the bus stop was actually further down the road and we start walking there but the bus came! So we ran to catch the bus without really checking the bus guide. Turns out we took the CORRECT bus but in the WRONG direction so we alighted after 1 stop. We crossed the road & took bus 28 again. This time, we checked the bus guide and were so sure we wouldn't get lost again.

So we happily boarded the bus, chatting away the whole time, we even counted the stops. But obviously, one of us must have failed our maths so we got off at the WRONG stop again. This time, we overshot. By then, we were so horribly late and tired. I mean, getting lost twice is no mean feat okays. & the whole time, IT WAS RAINING.

So we decided to take a taxi but there wasn't 1 single available taxi. What's with the lack of taxi in the Paya Lebar area?

We decided to cross opposite again to try our luck but it was futile. Then we saw Bus 28 again & we thought, "Heck, let's just take the bus." Luckily, this time we FINALLY alighted at the correct stop. It's just 5/ 6 stops from the Bartley MRT station where we met but we took Bus 28 THREE times just to reach there. Seriously. HAHAHAHA.

You thought the adventure ends here? Nope. It was raining and we had to walk through the muddy ground to get to the place. We wanted to walk Path A at first but a few steps into in, we realised, "Eh, that's the wrong way", feeling very clever for realising it so early. We changed to Path B, getting our shoes & feet wet & dirty in the progress, only to realise after reaching Path B's end that....

PATH A WAS THE CORRECT WAY -_-

When we finally finally reached the building, (in the meantime fielding a call from the Super Mom cousin which both of us pushed to each other to answer as we were so embarrassingly late) we nearly couldn't find the entrance. Luckily, our cousin was there to welcome us.

To be fair, the journey was pretty entertaining and funny, definitely unforgettable. & playing with my cute nephew & niece was more than enough to make up for it.

& so, the point of this blog entry? Random memories ftw!
