Friday was so much fun! Really a much-needed respite from the boredom call school and the assignments and projects due.
I knew it would be a good day when on the way to Clarke Quay from NTU, I saw an eyecandy who made me happy when he stopped to let me pass first on the bus. Then I met the girls (Rou, PX & Amira) at Clarke Quay & it was off to Minds Cafe for some board-gaming!

We braved the rain and walked to the cafe, my bomber jacket totally came in handy & it kept me pretty dry. Reached the cafe which was really empty & we immediately took some games to play while waiting for the food to come.
The monkey game was nice! Brings back memory of playing pick-up sticks. Taboo was super uber fun & hilarious. I laughed till tears were rolling down my cheeks. We broke the rules by gesturing most of the time instead of describing but who cares? :)
The vegetable card game gave me a shock when I saw rou had so much cards she had to divide them into 2 piles, one in her hand, another on the table. LOL. The compatibility game had a sexaye old man in it! & we know which was the favourite card right, it appeared in many of the rounds.
The fastest finger game was confusing at time, esp since I have lousy hand-eye coordination but I found somebody with the same problem: ROU!
Amira had to go off early, so we had dinner without her. Marutama Ramen's so deelicious! I love the soup.
After satisfying our stomach, we went off to... Braddell Heights CC! I guess you must be wondering why we went there. To play basketball? To mug? To line dance? No! We went there to sing.
They have a KTV there which charges like $35 for a room, 2hrs. Free flow drinks. Pretty cheap if you want to go sing K at night. & it's near our homes, with a direct bus back for 3 of us. Woohoo!
The songs there were updated too, with real MVs. Not the type of flower-grass MVs. Enjoyed singing with Rou & PX cos 3 of us are tone-deaf ppl who will sing out-of-tune w/o even knowing it. Not so stressed :D
& PX's knowledge of songs increased! No more only "Qian Li Zhi Wai" she now sings a few of the latest songs like Yang Cheng Ling's "Yu Ai". HAHAHAHAH. Well done, px!
Went home, really really tired (3 consective days of early morning classes!) but content. Can't wait to go HK with them, & Bkk with the NIE mates!
Holidays are the only thing spurring me on.
