okays, i think its time for a happy blog post! my life is not just about unhappy stuff :)
on Easter Day, the Education office had a "Planting Mr Egg" workshop at the JBCG & i was involved as a helper.
It was so fun! I loved the idea of the workshop. I never got to join in these kind of interesting workshops when I was young. Basically, the kids decorated their egg, filled it with moss, planted the seeds, fill with moss again & watered it.
Then they got this adorable ceramic pot which looks like the bottom part of a cracked egg & they decorated it with eyes, feet and a beak. then they planted bird nest fern in it.
the children were happily drawing on their masterpieces and they loved digging into this pit of soil we prepared and "throwing" them into the pot. HAHAH.
needless to say, it got quite messy.
there was 2 kids i was helping & they're so ultra cute! the 2 of them were very outgoing & the boy was so talkative. Keep talking and talking. HAHAHA. the mom even asked why the boy keep talking. oh, & they were very proud of their creations!

all done!
i hope more of these workshops come! then i'll get to play with the kids again :)
helping out at the workshop made me want to work with kids even more in future. sadly only a few careers actually involve working with kids, the main job probably being a childcare / kindergarten teacher. but my mom is quite against it because a childcare teacher earns very little.
& to be a childcare / kindergarten teacher, i have to go get a specialist diploma in pre-school teacher which is actually quite expensive, especially when you consider the returns ie salary. i could always just get a certificate or diploma in pre-school teaching but why not study one with higher qualifications?
btw, i am seriously reconsidering my options of furthur studies, more specifically which course i want to go into. almost every job nowadays seems to be linked to a specific, relevant degree. i'm not really sure what i want to do, & what i can do with say, a psychology degree.
So.... I think i have come up with a Plan B & somehow i'm more interested in this Plan B than my original plan of getting in local uni. Maybe i should do more researching before deciding on it.
