MADJACK Cafe

went to this cafe called MADJACK to do my radio assignment. interviewed one of the bosses and it went pretty well. but i have no idea what music i'm going to use. anybody know any music that's erm, fun, funky and you know, those happy music that when you hear, your spirits will get higher? if you do, tell me! i'll be very very grateful to you. =)

i quite like MADJACK actually cos i had a pretty good time there that day. that place's like the neighbourhood cafe type. seems like a nice place to chill out at. the boss was really humourous and hospitable. the staff were friendly too. there's a wide variety of food. the price is reasonable and quite affordable, like $7.90 for a plate of fish & chips. rn ate that & i ate this burger called the blue mountain burger which is supposedly the tallest burger in town. there's 3 patties! & the patties are made by themselves. the food's not bad, pretty decent.

plus, they don't add MSG and tenderizer and those chemical additives to the food so its more healthy. & well, its prob a restaurant for everybody cos they have australian food, asian fusion food, vegetarian and its a halal restaurant.

& the meal i ate there was complimentary! i went with renee at around 1.30pm, then after the interview we ate there, cos we haven't had lunch yet. and the boss refused to let us pay! i feel kind of bad actually. cos he's actually helping me by accepting the interview. i mean this is a school assignment, not like i'm really going to review his cafe for the whole singapore to see or hear. & he mentioned in the interview that even when he eats there, he pays too. so well.. i wanted to try the desserts there but when i hear that he was treating us, i decided not to. i'm not so thick-skinned okays! LOL. on top of that he gave us a stack of discount cards. so yay! i guess i'll be going back there in the near future.

after that we took a cab and headed to bugis. i could definitely get used to all this riding around in cabs. if only its free! XD

we shopped around there and renee is really one of my best shopping partners! cos our taste are quite similar and i always seem to be able to buy something when i go out with her. this might be a good and bad thing depending on how you look at it. the good being yay, i bought something that i like / want / need. the bad being of cos, the (over)spending of money when i'm already quite broke. & i din realised until renee pointed out, most of the things we bought that day were about the same type in different colours. lucky i don't just go shopping with her or our wardrobe might end up like super same! HAHA.

before heading home, we went to Chinatown cos she saw my key pendent and she likes it too. so we decided to go buy some pendents to make our own necklaces. all i can say is, we went home happy girls, after having caught up, shopped and generally have a good time. let's do it again sometimes soon!

oh! & today's pikxuan's b'dae. HAPPY 18TH BDAE! hope you enjoyed the surprise today. =) can't wait for our outing during the dec hols where we'll celebrate hers & amira's b'dae & early christmas all at 1 go, squeezing in a sleepover too. hanging out with friends is definitely the cure for a stressed week!
