Stomp The Yard

watched Stomp The Yard with tracy & nicole ystd. & i really like the movie. cos i got sho high at the end of the movie, when they were like competing in the finals and the whole stadium were cheering and jeering. & i nearly cried too, when DJ was saying that it was all his fault that his brother died.

but we missed the start of the movie! cos we were supposed to meet at 1.20pm but surprise surprise, all of us were late. HAHA. so we missed either the first 5 or 10 mins. which is really a pity cos i heard they were dancing in the first scene? the hip hop battle thing which eventually lead to the death. i saw the trailer and it look kinda impressive. & when we walkied in, they were fighting, and then suddenly, everybody was running away, and this guy was dead. shucks! not only did i miss the scene but i missed the lead up to a sad part. =(

so, when we saw the dancing during the university open hse, tracy and i were like, this is their best dancing? cos stomp the yard is partly known as a dancing movie. but then i had the misconception that they were hip hop street dancers or smth but they were actually doing step dance. & i thought well, even though some of their steps looked easy but its actually quite difficult esp those dance at the competition. anyway, i thought the move where they struck up both their arms and do like a serpent thing in four directions, is kind of.. funny. LOL

i'm glad they didn't try to make it draggy and just filmed the dean deciding to overturn the decision jus becos he couldn't bear to lost his daughter. cos if they make the daughter met with an accident, etc etc, (you know those cliche life threatening situations where the person realise how wrong he was) before the dean came to that decision, i think it would spoil the whole movie. and i didn't think there was enough time for the brotherhood thing cos i'm sure DJ realised just how important fraternities are but hello? his frat brothers were more concerned about the dance com than him. & there wasn't really anything to prove otherwise. nobody said they want to win the com for DJ or smth. LOL. okies, i realised that would make the movie unreal. & i really wished they had showed more from the com, cos the semi finals were like jus a few mins shot of each team. they should show more, but of cos not the whole 25 teams, cos it would be really draggy.

but i wan to watch the movie again. becos i MISSED the front part. & i wanna watch the pursuit of happyness. death note 2 too, cos i kind of forgot the ending. maybe music & lyrics too. i hope the vcds come out soon. so i can rent them & watch. =)

after the movie, we went to eat pepper lunch. well, they ate there but i ate bo luo bao. HAHA. cos i wasn't that hungry and i jus ate at pepper lunch not long ago. we went kinokuniya, (see how cultured we are? xD) then coffee bean. took photos in coffee bean but it's in tracy's cam. shall upload it when she sends me. there were some cute photos ok. rushed home after that while they stayed on cos i had to work in RC.

anyway, i shall go eat my ice cream cone now. woohoo.
